A Hospitalist is a physician who has dedicated their practice to caring for patients who are hospitalized. They work closely with you, your family members, your clinic physician, specialists, and other hospital departments to provide high quality, effective hospital care.

Alison F. Chinn, MD

Alison F. Chinn, MD graduated with a bachelor degree in biology from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Chinn is board certified in internal medicine and has a special interest in women’s health and preventative cardiovascular medicine. She is married with two children and enjoys running, biking, playing volleyball, and spending time with family.

Ferdinand R. Makalinao, MD

Ferdinand R. Makalinao, MD received his medical degree from the University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Makalinao has special interests in the management of pulmonary and cardiac diseases. He is married to Dr. Maria Patacsil. His hobbies include computers, home theatre, and photography.
