Oncology & Hematology

An Oncologist specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer.  He/she administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy or biologic agents to  control cancer. The oncologist work hand in hand with the surgeon, radiation oncologist and primary care physician to give the cancer patient the best care possible. A hematologist is a blood doctor and specializes in treating abnormalities of the blood including anemia, platelet disorders, disorders in white count.  A hematologist also takes care of bleeding disorders, clotting disorders and blood cancers.

Marion B. Raflores, MD

Marion B. Raflores, MD received her bachelor and medical degree from the University of the Philippines. She completed her Internal Medicine and Hematology Oncology fellowship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital/Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.  She treats adults with cancer, bleeding, clotting disorders, and other hematological problems. She is married with two children and enjoys traveling, snorkeling, and swimming.
